Compliance Manager for Global Crypto Exchange

Company Overview: We are a fast-growing global cryptocurrency company based in Dubai, focused on providing cutting-edge solutions in the digital asset trading space. As we prepare to launch our state-of-the-art cryptocurrency exchange, we are looking for a Legal Counsel/Compliance Manager to ensure our operations align with regulatory standards across multiple jurisdictions and to manage legal matters related to our business. Role Overview: The Legal Counsel/Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all legal and compliance aspects of our global cryptocurrency exchange. This includes ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, managing relationships with regulators, and supporting the legal needs of the business. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in legal and regulatory compliance, particularly in the cryptocurrency, fintech, or financial services industries. You will be expected to work closely with cross-functional teams, handle complex legal matters, and ensure that the company’s operations are fully compliant with local and international regulations. Key Responsibilities: Provide legal advice and guidance on all aspects of the company’s operations, including compliance with cryptocurrency regulations in multiple jurisdictions. Develop and implement compliance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to local and international regulations (e.g., KYC/AML). Manage legal matters, including contract review, negotiation, and dispute resolution. Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities, ensuring regular communication and timely reporting. Monitor and stay up to date with changes in relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in the cryptocurrency and fintech industries. Oversee licensing and registration processes in different jurisdictions to ensure the business meets regulatory requirements. Support the development and launch of new products and services from a legal and compliance perspective. Work with external legal counsel and advisors to ensure all legal matters are managed effectively and cost-efficiently. Ensure the company’s governance framework is robust and compliant with international best practices. Conduct internal compliance training and foster a culture of compliance across the organization. Key Qualifications: Proven experience as a Legal Counsel or Compliance Manager, ideally within the cryptocurrency, fintech, or financial services sectors. Strong knowledge of international cryptocurrency regulations, financial compliance (KYC/AML), and data protection laws. Familiarity with regulatory requirements in multiple jurisdictions, particularly Tier 1 regions such as the US, Europe, and Asia. Experience managing legal and compliance matters related to cryptocurrency exchanges or fintech platforms. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with regulators, internal teams, and external partners. Hands-on experience dealing with licensing and compliance in financial markets. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines. Ability to travel frequently for regulatory meetings, conferences, and business needs. Law degree from a recognized institution; additional certifications in compliance (e.g., CAMS) are a plus.
