About the role
About the Opportunity A technology-driven quantitative trading firm is expanding its engineering team and is looking for a software engineer to help build the infrastructure behind its decentralized finance trading platform. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple layers of the trading stack, including blockchain connectivity, execution services, internal tooling, monitoring, and trading infrastructure. Engineers in this role collaborate closely with quantitative researchers and traders to develop systems that support real-time decision making across digital asset markets. Responsibilities Develop production-quality software using Rust, Python, and related technologies. Build and maintain services that integrate with blockchain networks, decentralized exchanges, and smart contract protocols. Design and improve execution pipelines, monitoring platforms, and operational tooling. Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability in production environments. Support integrations with new blockchain ecosystems and emerging decentralized protocols. Collaborate with researchers, traders, and engineers to deliver robust trading infrastructure. Take ownership of projects from design through deployment and ongoing maintenance. Qualifications 3+ years of professional software engineering experience. Strong programming fundamentals with experience building scalable production systems. Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, networking, concurrency, and distributed systems. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and solve complex technical problems. Experience with Rust is preferred, although candidates with strong backgrounds in C++, Go, Java, C#, Kotlin, or similar languages are encouraged to apply. Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are especially encouraged to apply: Digital assets, electronic trading, or financial technology. Blockchain development, decentralized finance, or smart contract integrations. Ethereum, Solana, EVM-compatible networks, or blockchain RPC interfaces. Performance optimization and distributed application development. Cloud infrastructure, observability platforms, and production monitoring tools.
