We're hiring a Staff Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Cloud Platform and Architecture organization. You will develop tools and automate solutions to manage the large-scale distributed infrastructure of the Zscaler cloud platform. This is a hybrid role going into our San Jose, CA office 3 days a week. Reporting to the Director, Site Reliability Engineering, you will: Manage and maintain large-scale distributed systems using an infrastructure-as-code approach Develop and enhance tools to automate the deployment and management of large-scale services, focusing on reliable system architecture and maintaining high code quality Diagnose and resolve issues by editing code, adjusting infrastructure configurations, conducting performance and network analysis, and creating reusable tools Develop automation solutions and manage services efficiently using version-controlled infrastructure-as-code Support mission critical services and participate in on-call rotations as needed What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) 5+ years of experience in SRE roles supporting mission-critical production systems Skilled in programming languages such as Python, Golang, Java, or Rust Familiarity with standard Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) Expertise in SRE methodologies, tools, and best practices What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience Proficiency in managing large-scale distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and applying infrastructure-as-code principles   LI-HybridLI-AM12Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
