As a Legal Counsel specializing in Data Protection at Bitpanda, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with data protection laws and regulations within the rapidly evolving crypto landscape. What you'll do • Advise on data protection laws and compliance requirements relevant to cryptocurrency operations, including GDPR and other applicable regulations. • Draft, review, and negotiate data protection agreements with partners, vendors, and clients to ensure compliance and risk mitigation. • Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) to identify and mitigate risks associated with data processing activities. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and engineering, to integrate data protection best practices into new initiatives and technologies. • Monitor developments in data protection legislation and provide timely updates and training to internal stakeholders. • Respond to data subject requests and inquiries, ensuring timely and compliant handling of personal data issues.
