OTC Crypto Trader Institutional Flow

About the RoleYou will quote and execute institutional block trades on the firm's OTC desk — the off-exchange channel that handles size for hedge funds, family offices, corporate treasuries, miners, foundations, and crypto-native funds who cannot or will not trade on the lit orderbook. Tickets range from low-seven to nine figures, settlement happens bilaterally or through prime brokerage rails, and your spread is your edge. The desk operates as a clean revenue line with no conflict against client orderbook flow — you are pricing for institutional counterparties, not internalizing retail.You will own the full lifecycle: RFQ pricing, execution, inventory management, hedging across exchange and on-chain venues, settlement coordination, and the client relationship that brings the next ticket. The role expects active institutional relationships you can bring with you, sharp risk discipline under size, and the comfort to quote 24/7 during volatile windows. You will partner closely with the Institutional Sales team on client coverage, with Risk on counterparty limits, with Compliance on KYC for new counterparties, and with Treasury on inventory financing.Compensation Base: $180,000 – $280,000 USD Performance bonus: 50–150% of base, PnL-linked, uncapped on overperformance Equity + token grant (4-year vest, 1-year cliff) Full medical, dental, and vision; 401(k) match; remote work stipend Key Responsibilities Quote and execute institutional block trades across spot, perps, and on-chain assets via RFQ. Manage inventory and hedge risk across BTC, ETH, stables, and top altcoins using exchange, derivatives, and on-chain venues. Build and grow a book of institutional counterparties (hedge funds, family offices, treasuries, foundations, miners). Coordinate settlement across prime brokers, custodians, and on-chain delivery; manage credit and counterparty risk within firm limits. Provide 24/7 coverage during peak market windows in rotation with the rest of the desk. Partner with Institutional Sales on client coverage and pricing strategy. Partner with Risk on counterparty limits, with Compliance on counterparty onboarding, and with Treasury on inventory financing. Maintain post-trade analysis on PnL, spread quality, and counterparty profitability. Requirements 4–7 years of trading experience at an OTC desk, market maker, prime broker, or HFT firm — with at least 2 years in crypto. Existing institutional client book or strong relationships with crypto-native counterparties. Strong inventory management and cross-venue hedging discipline. Multi-asset crypto fluency: spot, perps, options, on-chain swaps. Working knowledge of crypto settlement infrastructure (prime brokers, custodians, on-chain delivery rails). Comfort under size pressure and during extreme volatility regimes. Nice to Have Prior experience at a top crypto OTC desk (Cumberland, Galaxy, B2C2, GSR, Wintermute, Genesis, Coinbase Prime, Kraken OTC). Background as an HFT trader before transitioning to OTC. Cross-market trading experience including TradFi (rates, FX, equities).
