Senior Red Team Operator

As a Senior Red Team Operator at Figment, you will play a critical role in enhancing the security posture of our web3 infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses and help build robust defenses against potential threats in the rapidly evolving blockchain landscape. What you'll do • Conduct comprehensive penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on web applications and smart contracts to identify security flaws. • Develop and automate security testing tools and frameworks to streamline the red teaming process. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations based on findings from security assessments. • Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with stakeholders to mitigate and remediate security incidents effectively. • Mentor junior security team members, sharing knowledge and best practices in red teaming and security methodologies. • Assess and enhance container security practices to protect our development and production environments. What we're looking for • Proven experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments specifically within web applications and blockchain technologies. • Strong knowledge of web application security principles and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10). • Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages to facilitate security testing processes. • Experience in incident response and a deep understanding of threat modeling and risk assessment. • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. • A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring and developing team capabilities in cybersecurity.
